Consteel EAF steelmaking has many advantages. Compared with traditional EAF and DC EAF, its equipment conditions and refining process have the following advantages

1) The plant and equipment cover a small area, which can save investment.

This process can reduce the production scale and investment proportion. The plane design of the equipment is "s" type. The workshop layout is reasonable and compact, and the production process is easy to organize. Compared with DC EAF, the transformer capacity can be reduced by 35-40%.

2) The production cost is greatly reduced.

Because the continuous preheating scrap is used in the smelting process, the whole operation process of foam slag is used in this process, which greatly reduces the consumption of electrode, energy consumption and refractory materials. When the upper furnace hole is opened with 30% hot metal, the power consumption can be reduced by more than 40%;

3) The concentration of slag (FeO) is greatly reduced and the metal yield is significantly increased.

In the smelting process of foam slag, the injection amount of carbon slag is increased to about 10kg / T, and the metal yield from scrap to molten steel can be increased by nearly 1% (because the bath temperature is 1550 *) C ~ 1590 ℃ ° The reaction of [O] and [C] in the steel is close to equilibrium, and the content of (Fe0) in the slag is very low, usually only 10% to 15%);

4) The gas content in steel is low and the quality of molten steel is improved.

When scrap steel and other raw materials enter the molten pool, the hydrocarbons in the scrap steel in the preheating section are basically completely burned, which can eliminate the [H] and [N] sources in the steel and use the foam as raw material. In the refining process. The slag removal operation reduces the gas content into the molten pool, so the content of [H] and [n] in the steel can be kept at a very low level. At this time, it will also boil in the furnace and react violently, which is conducive to the floating of inclusions in the molten steel, and can ensure good desulfurization and dephosphorization effect;

5) It has strong adaptability to raw materials.

The equipment can be applied to scrap, pig iron, cold or hot loaded direct reduced iron ore (DRI) and hot pellet (HBL), hot metal and COREX sponge iron. If hot metal is added to the furnace, the amount of hot metal can reach 20% to 60%.

6) The treatment of flue gas is more reasonable and simple.
